Overview
Habit Flow is a habit-tracking app designed to make daily routines feel rewarding rather than mechanical. The brief was to create a warm, motivating interface that turns logging into a moment of satisfaction — with gentle visual feedback, streak celebrations, and a clean dual-theme system. Every screen was prototyped from wireframe through lo-fi to hi-fi, with a focus on micro-interactions and emotional design.
Design Process
The project moved through three fidelity stages. Wireframes established the information architecture and core navigation patterns. Lo-fi screens introduced layout structure, spacing, and basic component placement. Hi-fi screens applied the full visual system — a pastel light mode and a slate dark mode, with accent gradients, iconography, and motion — resulting in a polished, shippable interface.

Key Interactions
Three core micro-interactions define the Habit Flow experience. The check-in ripple — tapping a habit circle triggers a subtle expanding ring animation that confirms completion without breaking flow. The streak pulse — when a user hits a milestone (3, 7, 30 days), the streak counter emits a soft glow and a haptic-like scale bounce. And the gesture archive — swiping left on a completed habit reveals an undo option, reducing the friction of accidental check-ins.
Outcome
The Habit Flow design system includes 40+ screens across three fidelity levels, a dual-theme color system (light pastel and dark slate), a component library with 15 reusable patterns, and a motion spec covering all micro-interaction timing curves. The project demonstrated how a habit-tracking app can feel motivating rather than mechanical — turning daily logging into a small moment of satisfaction.
